Tunetorialz is designed to help musical theatre performers--both professional and enthusiastic--expand their repertoire, feed their passion, and craft their skills in the comfort of their own home.
All too often performers can fall into the trap of learning a song by ear, finding a version of the sheet music and not realizing its different from the recording (either key or arrangement) until they are in the middle of the big audition--yikes!
Tunetorialz aims to provide a perfect trio of materials: 1) a 25-45 mins lesson to help you learn the intricacies of the song, 2) a link to the sheet music being used and 3) the accompaniment matching exactly with that sheet music. Suddenly learning a new song quickly and efficiently is easy! Lesson, sheet music, accompaniment, done.
Tunetorialz was created and founded by Douglas Price.
Douglas has a Masters Degree in Music Direction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He has musically directed all over Canada, as well as in the US and the UK. He is an award-winning composer and musical theatre writer and he inaugurated the position of the Head of Music at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. He is passionate about teaching, coaching and writing musical theatre.
