Sung by the character of Mother who begins the show as a bit of a stereotypical meek wife following in the wake of her husband. But when her husband must leave for a time, she is suddenly thrust into a new independence which she grows into over the course of the show. When her husband returns, things are very different. Later on when her husband must leave again, he announces that when he returns things will go back to how they were. This is when Mother confronts him and tells him things will never go back to how they were before.
